The pool is fantastic. The restaurant and pool bar have closed, but that didn’t affect our lovely experience.

The owner became aggressive toward my wife in front of our children when we tried to get the refund we’d been told was possible for our last few nights. We couldn’t stay any longer. Our kids couldn’t use the pool because dog and cat poo was floating in it, and it wasn’t being cleaned. On several occasions we found animal poo in the pool. When we raised it with the owners, who didn’t seem to check or maintain the pool, they blamed us and said our kids must have done it, even though we hadn’t used the pool yet. The water also stained our swimwear after about 30 minutes. There was mould on every wall, inside the air conditioner even though it didn’t work, and in the shower. Ant nests were upstairs and downstairs; staff blamed us for leaving food in the kitchen, although there were no cupboards to store food and we had none upstairs. The shower wouldn’t drain, leaving water about three inches deep on the floor for days, and mosquitoes bred in the room. So much was broken or patched with silicone. The water pressure kept changing and sometimes blasted air hard enough to smash a glass. Lights didn’t work, and kitchenette appliances buzzed and ticked all night with no way to stop them. There were no utensils despite it being self catering. Towels, bedding, walls, and light switches were stained. Staff kept blaming us or the cleaner instead of taking responsibility or apologizing. They blamed the heat in the country for the mould and had excuses for everything. The place looked like it needed refurbishment about 10 years ago, with no money spent on upkeep. It was hell on earth, not a vacation. I wouldn’t wish this stay on anyone. Don’t waste your money.

The owner made me feel at home as soon as I arrived, and her warmth and hospitality made the place stand out. It’s peaceful around the hotel, yet close to the beach and local attractions, so the location worked really well for a relaxing break. I had a wonderful stay and would love to come back. Thank you for everything and for giving us a lift to the bus! We didn’t miss our flight 😉

The most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was nothing like I expected. I hope you don’t make the same mistake.
