Villa Eleni

Such a lovely garden, and the rooms are nice with a good bathroom. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it. The location is great, right by the horse riding, beaches and restaurants.

The beach was very close, with clear water and sand, and sunbeds cost a fair 10€ for a pair. The cleaning lady did her best to help, brought chlorine for the drains and did her job well. But the stay had a lot of problems. The pictures on Booking and other sites don’t match how the rooms look, and the pool in the photos doesn’t belong to the property. There’s no private parking, despite it being advertised, so you have to park on the street if there’s space. The AC in one of our rooms leaked and couldn’t be used. They said someone would check it, but he looked at the AC in another room and left. The internet worked only 20-30% of the day, and was very slow when it did work. One bathroom drain smelled awful, and we kept pouring chlorine into it until we ran out and had to put up with the smell. The sockets didn’t work properly either. Charging a phone overnight sometimes got it full, if the socket supplied enough power to start charging at all.

Great spot, but the rooms smelled bad. I think there might be a sewage problem, and there were far too many mosquitoes.

A nice option for a short break. It was mostly quiet, though rooms facing the street can pick up plenty of noise from the pubs nearby.
