Eleonas Hotel

Marina was such a kind, lovely host and gave us lots of good tips for places to visit. The boutique hotel has an amazing view, and our room was big and very clean. Breakfast was the best we had in Greece. We’d definitely come back.

I’d love to stay here on my next trip to amazing Evia. I only found the hotel by chance after getting a bit lost on the way out of Rovies toward the highway, and it turned into one of those lovely unexpected travel encounters. The elegant owner, Marina if I remember right, offered me coffee and cookies and wouldn’t take any money. We had a pleasant chat, and she told me a little about the place and its different olive trees. Sitting beneath the trees with the sea and surrounding scenery in view made for a memorable coffee break. This is definitely a place I’d recommend.

The view from our room was extraordinary, even though the weather wasn’t kind while we were there. Breakfasts were also a treat, with different breads and jams each day, plus olive tapenade that was delicious. We arranged two very good meals at the hotel with Marina, and there’s a pleasant trail through the olive grove, with a GPS or phone available for it. The place itself is lovely, one of the best agrotouristic hotels we’ve seen. But meeting Marina, such a fantastic host and genuinely nice person, was a great experience in itself. Among all our travels in Greece, this is simply one of the most wonderful places we’ve stayed.

We had a great time here, and the owners generously shared their hospitality and company. The food was tasty, handmade, and healthy, and there were plenty of activities for both children and adults. The rooms have tasteful decor, including hand-painted fabrics, and made a restful setting. The raised shared garden in the olive grove looks out across the trees, sea, and pine-covered hills, with views that shift through the day. Sunset is stunning, and it’s a lovely spot to sit beneath the stars. The grove reaches a semi-private beach. It’s a wonderfully serene place for couples or families in summer, spring, or autumn.
