Salakos is peaceful, full of friendly people we enjoyed chatting with, and surrounded by lovely scenery. The villa itself is beautiful too. When we arrived, the fridge was stocked with snacks, pasta, bread, and fresh fruit, which made those first few days much easier. Marina showed us around and helped with everything; she was kind and fun to talk to. It’s quite out of the way, so I’d look into hiring a car, but it’s a lovely spot to relax. We had an amazing time and highly recommend old nest house!

The garden was divine, and I loved starting the morning with coffee in the little seating area. The pool area is stunning, the décor is beautiful, and the beds were comfortable. The house has everything you need. We stayed for two weeks, but I could have happily stayed for two months. If you want a peaceful, relaxing break, this place is a piece of paradise. I never wanted to leave and highly recommend it.

The hosts were easy to reach and quick to answer our questions. The house is beautiful and very well equipped, set in lovely surroundings. There’s delicious food just around the corner, and it’s inexpensive. Nature and the coast on this side of the island are stunning, with little mass tourism. Fantastic stay, and we’ll definitely be back!
