We really appreciated being able to check in early. Our room was ready when we arrived in the morning. The apartment was a decent size for two, with clean towels and linen, and a kitchenette equipped with a cooktop, range hood, kettle, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, frying pan, and a few pots. Ours was on the second floor with mountain views; the building has three floors, so the view may be better from the third. The location is very good, close to the port, shops, and the supermarket across the road, with Paralia Karavomilos nearby. The pillows were too soft and flat, but there were two spare ones. The pillows had no protective covers, so I used my own. Cleaning could have been better: there was dust and the floors hadn’t been vacuumed. The walls are very thin and you can hear almost everywhere. The air conditioning needs a thorough professional cleaning because it was very mouldy, which isn’t healthy for guests. In the bathroom, there was only one hook for a hand towel, and the shower itself was a good size but not clean, with mould building up in the silicone. Water pressure was poor, making it a nightmare to wash my long, thick hair.

The hosts were kind and accommodating: the man stayed up when our flight from London arrived late, and the woman let us leave our bags after noon checkout, which gave us one more day at the beach. The neighborhood is quiet, with nice cafes, restaurants, and beaches nearby. Getting around takes some planning, though. It’s far from the airport, so we needed a taxi, and there’s no public transport, so be ready to walk or rent a vehicle. We also found cockroaches in the cupboards and lots of small flying insects. It’s an island, so bugs are likely.

We had a mountain view from the balcony and a good-sized room with a separate, practical kitchen. Popi and the cleaner were both lovely. It’s a peaceful spot just outside the centre, with easy access to trails leading uphill to the acropolis, the Monastery, and Antisamos beach. Great value, and I’d happily come back.

The mountain view from the little balcony was glorious, and for the price we were pleased. It’s a basic self-catering apartment, with a two-ring hob, a fridge with an icebox, and a shower, though there was no wall hook for the shower head, which was disappointing. The landlady and cleaner were friendly. The place was very clean, with fresh towels and the bed made nearly every day. Don’t expect too much, but it’s good value.

The room was nice and clean, though the furniture, kitchen, and taps are old. We booked late and the woman got us settled quickly. When we added another night, she was very helpful.
