The quiet was what made Samonas feel like paradise, with nature as the only sound around the house. We loved spending time by the pool, and the view from the first-floor bedrooms was breathtaking. Trekking nearby was a unique experience for us. In the small village in the Apokoronas area, try the food at the Cretan tavern "aetofolia". It was really tasty.

Stamatis and his family in law, Rousa and Costas, made us feel like family. We arrived as tourists and foreigners and left feeling like family members. We spent 18 days here in September 2019, and the warmth of our hosts made the stay especially memorable. Villa Vigla in Samonas felt like a very unique home, with tasteful furnishings and everything we needed. If you're looking for an authentic, luxurious Cretan villa and genuine Cretan hospitality, we'd highly recommend it. We'll be back for sure. Thank you for everything, big hugs and kisses.
