Barbara and Yiannis, the owner, are lovely people and always ready to help, whatever you need. There's no pool and it's not a five star hotel, but it has a unique Greek atmosphere. If you want to feel at home while you're traveling, I'd definitely recommend it. For me, this hotel deserves 10 stars :-)

BEWARE, this site is a scam. Nearly two months after I booked a room, the hotel cancelled because it had received a group and there were no rooms left, or the prices had become ridiculously high. The Greek hoteliers' association should impose some kind of sanction for this lack of respect toward the tourists whose money they live on.

Barbara was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were super clean with a nostalgic design. It was a great experience staying at Hotel Bonis, a good choice in a lot of ways. The location is very close to port, with cafes, restaurants, and the main spots in Vathy easy to reach.

The owners are the friendliest old couple in the city, and some rooms have spectacular views over the sea and town. WiFi is strong, the place is clean, right in the heart of the city and close to public services. They offer breakfast, and the neighborhood isn't noisy. It's quite old fashioned and needs reconstruction, though it was the cheapest in Vathy. To me it's more like a basic pension than a hotel. If luxury doesn't matter to you, have a look at this simple place.
