The room is best for 2, with a great view and a cute balcony where you can sit and look out at the port. It’s in the center of Vathi, 30 meters of Joy, a good cafe-branch restaurant. The room stays warm in winter and cool in summer. The host is excellent, very hospitable and willing to answer any questions.

The room stayed cool in the hot summer thanks to the breeze, and it has a balcony and air conditioner. It was cleaned every day. There’s also a simple kitchen that I found convenient to use. The pension is in town, about 200m from Vathi port. I arrived without knowing anything about Samos or how to get to cusadasi. The host kindly explained the island and how to get to Cusadasi, then came with me to the travel agency office to help buy tickets. A host’s kindness matters most to travellers. Thanks so much again. It’s good value, too.

Costas, the host, was very keen to help with anything about island life. The apartment was cosy, clean and quiet, with a great view. Great value for money.
