Samian Blue Seaside Hotel

Gaggou Beach was a pleasant surprise, with smooth stones of different sizes and sand farther out in the water. The area around the hotel is calm once you get used to the crickets, and the pool is a good size for the number of guests. The beach is close, and the road between it and the hotel doesn't get much traffic. The hotel itself is worn. The rooms badly need renovating, with uncomfortable beds, old balcony chairs, bathroom mold, and a loud air conditioner. The restaurant and food were okay. Even with the state of the room, my stay at Samian Blue was actually quite pleasant.

It's a nice place for invitations, and the staff are pleasant, apart from the manager. He's arrogant and rude, and clearly doesn't care about the staff or customers. It was unacceptable to arrive and immediately see him yelling at and humiliating staff in front of everyone. Very unprofessional, all over a misplaced ashtray.

Good food and a nice spot on Gagou Beach. It costs a bit much for Greece, though it's in the tourist and hotel part of Vathi. Service was good, and having English spoken is a plus.

The photos make this hotel look good, but the service was terrible and the food was bad. The workers were so rude. It's far from town, so you'll be paying for taxis every time. The beer tastes half watered down, and the room smelled of mildew. There are no shops or anything to buy out there. I'd never come back.
