We wanted a peaceful, private holiday, and Megalochori village suited us so well. It feels like a real Greek village, with beauty and privacy, away from busy Fira and Oia. We had none of the noise or people passing close to our villa that you get in those places. Fira is under 20 minutes by car and Oia about 30, so we could still visit and enjoy their range of restaurants. There’s a brilliant family bakery nearby, and quiet walks away from traffic. The villa is about 100 yards from the main road connecting to Fira and Oia. Sophia mansion is a calm, private space behind locked main gates. The walls are high enough to enjoy the private pool and sunbathing, and it faces the Blue Dome on the high street. The place was very clean and tidy, and Constantino gave us excellent service and support. He greeted us as soon as we arrived, with no waiting, then sat down with us to go over a map of Santorini and recommend places to visit. That level of care really stood out. Housekeeping was regular, and the lady who kept the house tidy was lovely. As a couple traveling with our two little daughters, we highly recommend the place and the service from Constantino and his team. He helped with everything, including hiring the rental cat, and made the experience special for our family. Thank you, Constantino, for all your support and for a beautiful stay.

The host was really responsive and shared lots of choices for local, authentic food. We also had transfers available to and from places, and the location was absolutely worth the price. My friends and I came for spring break, and it couldn’t have been a better spot. I’m already planning to come back soon!

Megalochori was quiet and close enough to other major spots, with lots of dining options and parking very near the villa. The host was easy to reach and gave us loads of very good suggestions for what to do and where to eat. The villa itself has traditional architecture and a great balance of traditional style and luxury, with modern facilities, including superfast WiFi, which is rare for hotels in Greece. Its practical layout worked well for our small family over an extended stay. We also loved relaxing outside in the well-designed surroundings, by the pool in the afternoons and evenings. Highly recommended!

Each couple had their own space in this amazing villa, and the courtyard and pool were great for gathering together. The concierge helped us figure out things to do around Santorini and gave us great recommendations. It’s a beautiful villa in a peaceful area, with plenty of places within walking distance. We loved staying here!

Takis and Konstantinos took such good care of us all week, and the whole process was easy. We loved the villa. It’s right in the middle of the village, which gave us a really authentic Santorini experience. We very much enjoyed our stay in Megalochori!
