Villa Sunset Lagonisi

Gregory and Fotini made us feel so welcome. They were genuinely kind and friendly. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

omg, that was so cool

The one real plus for me was the parking around the outside of the house. We stayed two days in this attic, and although the view was nice, the sofa wasn't comfortable for sitting for long. The bed is tucked under the roof, so you can bump your head, and its position also leaves you without an outlet nearby to charge a phone. Cupboards right by the headboard kept opening and closing, which got annoying. There was a tiny kitchenette for just a couple of things and a makeshift place to hang clothes. The bathroom was in decent condition, but the iron leaked and the hairdryer didn't work. At 75 euros a day, those appliances should have worked; at 40 euros, the price would have felt more reasonable. There was just one window facing out, plus one in the bathroom that had to stay open for air. It was fairly hot, and with our apnea we needed the air conditioning to get enough air in the room. That unit was dusty and clearly needed servicing. The WiFi was also slow until we switched the power outlet to get a better connection to the router downstairs.

The view was wonderful, but the apartment had several frustrating problems. We had no hot water on one of our days, and there were no slippers, a proper wardrobe, or useful appliances in the room. The metal stairs up to the entrance felt almost dangerous, especially while carrying bags. Cabinets placed right behind the bed kept opening whenever you leaned back against them, which was irritating.
