Villa Mimaze Minimalist Living

We spent a week at Villa Mimaze in September 2025 for my mother's birthday, and had a wonderful stay. The villa is stunning, in a lovely part of Elounda, with spacious, very clean rooms and everything we needed. The village is easy to explore on foot. We rented a car for day trips and had plenty of space to park in the private area. Michael, the property manager, was very helpful with recommendations and available whenever we had questions. I'd absolutely recommend this villa for a future stay.

We spent seven nights at Villa Mimaze, and living there for our holiday on Crete was extraordinary. The website gives an accurate picture of the property, but staying there was even better. The location is ideal if you don't want a car, with everything an easy 5-10 minute walk away. The villa is exceptionally well designed for space and comfort, and the appliances, bedding and personal grooming items match any 5 Star hotel. Maria, who prepares and maintains the place for the owners, is a gem and keeps it to an unparalleled standard. The welcome package is a lovely start, with juices, meats, cheeses, milk, croissants, cereals and coffee pods among the items. I first dealt with George for booking and questions, and he was prompt and responsive. Michael was our day-to-day contact, and his focus on guests' needs is rare. His advice on restaurants, beaches, shopping and excursions was faultless. I could say more, but just book Villa Mimaze, bring yourself and your smile, and enjoy every moment. We did.

We spent two weeks at Villa Mimaze as a group of six, and had an unforgettable time. The villa is modern, beautifully furnished and well equipped, with spacious rooms and stunning sea views to start the day. The private pool, loungers and shaded terrace made the outdoor area great for relaxing. There's a small road in front of the house, but it didn't bother us. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, and his restaurant suggestions were fantastic, with sensational food at very reasonable prices. The people were the highlight of our stay. The Greeks we met were warm, open and genuinely friendly. I've travelled a lot and never experienced such kindness and hospitality. It made the trip special. We highly recommend Villa Mimaze and would love to return!

Being so close to the sea made the stay especially great. The view was lovely, and we could step right out for a dip or a swim. The villa is spacious enough for eight and was well kept, with modern design that really suited our taste, which isn't always easy to find. George and Michael were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. They clearly care about people, especially their guests. We tried Michael's restaurant suggestion and loved it, and enjoyed the villages he recommended visiting. We had a fantastic time at Milla Mimaze and have already agreed we'll come back.
