The location is a real plus, right in the city centre with restaurants, boutiques, and shops just around the corner. The receptionist was kind and helpful, and the lobby is clean, with a feel of what the hotel must have been like years ago. But the breakfast was poor, so luckily we had sandwiches from home. Our room was small and smelled bad, the floors were dirty, and the heating didn't work.

We paid 40€ for a double room without booking ahead, much less than the other places we called nearby. The room was spacious and very clean, and it had a balcony. Breakfast was included, though it was pretty basic. Dogs are welcome, but watch out for the street dogs around there!

It did the job as a place to sleep for the night, but that's about all. The breakfast wasn't very good, so I'd get breakfast somewhere else, maybe try the local bougatsa. I wouldn't stay here for more than one night, if even that.

The hotel is right in the city centre, with cafe bars nearby, and the owners were friendly. The room was okay for one night, barely two. What bothered me was the noise from people and music that carried on until 6 am.

Serres's old hotel sits right in the middle of the noise, and you can hear the crowd until 6 in the morning. The staff were very helpful, except for the kitchen lady, who was very serious and didn't smile at anybody.
