Anemona Beach Apartments

We had a fantastic visit. The rooms were modern, lovely, and cleaned every day, and there was free parking for guests with a rental car. The pool area was great, with a snack and food bar. Breakfast was excellent and much better than we expected. It’s a good spot, about two minutes from the beach and five from the strip. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I’d definitely recommend it.

The prices for the rooms were very reasonable, and the bar prices were acceptable too. Breakfast had lots of variety, and the swimming pool was clean and nice without being crowded. It’s close to town, the beach, and local grocery shops. Some rooms are in a separate building, so you have to walk about 50 metres to get to the pool and breakfast area. That was a little disappointing, though not a big problem. I’d recommend it as a nice holiday spot for families or couples.

We stayed at the Anemona from 19th July to 2nd August 2019, the three of us, including our 14 year old daughter. George welcomed us warmly and showed us to studio apartment No. 33. It was spacious, airy, and spotlessly clean, with a pool view and a view across to the sea. The pool and bar area were just as clean, so relaxing by the pool was pleasant. The three cheerful cleaners worked incredibly hard every day, always greeted us, and were very friendly. Towels were changed twice a week, along with the bedding. There are safety deposit boxes, but the place felt safe and secure, so we didn’t use one. The apartments are in a quieter part of town, which suited us, and it’s a 250 metre walk to the seafront. There are a few relaxed, low-key tavernas there, a couple of supermarkets, and a small medical centre. It gets a little dark on the way back at night, but using the torch on our phones easily sorted that. The bar at the apartments serves drinks and various snacks. We paid 5 euro per night for air-con towards the end of our second week, when the nights got hotter. If you want clean, good value accommodation in a quiet spot, I’d recommend it.
