Monika Hotel

We had a great week at Monika hotel. Our room was renovated and clean, and the view near the beach was lovely. The food was delicious, with lots of traditional Greek flavours, and the staff were always smiling and friendly. We’ll be back soon!

The food was lovely, with something different to try each day. I spent a week here with my daughter and we had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and really friendly. We’ll definitely come back 😊

The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to help us, but the rest of our stay wasn’t great, to be honest. For all seven days there was no hot or even warm water, so I had to shower and shave in cold water. The food also wasn’t to my taste, though I know other guests might feel differently. Our room was okay, a little small, and the beds felt rather hard. Sorry to leave a poor review, but I’m being honest.

The pool was clean and lovely, and there were loungers available. The food was edible, but choices were extremely limited. On Greek night there was only a pork skewer, with no alternative, and dessert meant chocolate cake, watermelon, or ice cream. At one lunch, there were just three spoons for five food choices. The alcohol came from taps into glass jars with labels, and it tasted weak, as though it had been diluted. We were told on arrival that our room wasn’t available because the previous couple had smashed up the bathroom. We had to stay somewhere else for two nights of our four-night holiday. Someone else said Love Holidays had overbooked us, so being given that story felt dishonest. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
