Toulas Apartments

This is a low-budget apartment, but it had what we needed for our honeymoon. The little kitchen has everything for making snacks, and there’s a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were good. They cleaned the place and changed the bedding every other day, with fresh towels. There’s a safe in the apartment, and parking at the rear. The owners were brilliant, friendly and helpful. They even fixed the balcony light so we could sit outside in the evening before the mossies got us. There was a friendly praying mantis in the bush by the balcony, which was brilliant. We couldn’t fault it as basic holiday accommodation. It’s spot on for three beaches and multiple tavernas, all of which are extremely good. Thanks for a lovely honeymoon.

I’ve taken holidays several times a year and never stayed anywhere like this. The apartment was dirty and neglected, with stained walls and too little basic kitchen equipment. The cabinets and wardrobe smelled so damp that I couldn’t use them, even after washing them and spending my own money on cleaning products. After the first night I raised this with the owner, who offered another room for three nights. That one was even worse, so we stayed put. I don’t recommend it. There are better places nearby for a similar price. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences of my life, and it shouldn’t have any stars. Loveholidays probably hasn’t visited to check the standard of the place it recommends!

The apartment had a balcony, a very nice kitchen and toilet, and the bed was really comfortable. Restaurants, beaches and supermarkets are all nearby. It can get a little noisy if you want to sleep before 23:00. We were there for three nights, and during that time the towels weren’t changed and the rubbish wasn’t taken out. We also missed basics like soap, a dish sponge and toilet paper. Still, it was a very nice place to stay.

For the price, the room was very good, clean and had a decent bed. Toula's is in a fantastic spot, close to a nice Italian/Greek restaurant across the street and not far from the centre. The centre gets packed and loud, but our nights were quiet, which made sleeping easy. My girlfriend and I had a great stay. Remember the repellent. Toilet paper and dishwashing supplies aren’t provided or topped up, so keep that in mind. There are shops just a few houses away, though. Thanks Toula!!
