Smaragdi Hotel

The local bus stop is just steps away. It's a 12 minute walk along the mountainside to the island's main center, or a quick 6 min bus ride. Some buses on the island don't accept credit card. On our last day, the owner kindly made breakfast for us a little before the restaurant opened because we had an early ferry. That's the kind of service you can experience on beautiful Sifnos. The relaxed, peaceful feel of Smaragdi Hotel and the village made it a lovely place to return to after a day hiking or swimming. The hotel is right on Artemonas's main square, among fragrant gardens, little alleyways, and cozy tavernas. It's a true haven in one of Sifnos's most beautiful villages. Antonis, the owner, was warm, calm, and genuinely kind. He was there to help and seemed to really care that we enjoyed our stay. The newly renovated rooms were stylish and comfortable, while still respecting the traditional architecture of Sifnos. Thoughtful details included a rain shower, comfy bed, minibar, kettle, and efficient air conditioning. Many rooms have balconies with lovely views over Artemonas and the surrounding hills. Breakfast at the hotel's café was delicious: simple but well prepared, with fresh bread, eggs, fruit, Greek yogurt, and good coffee. The service was as attentive and friendly as everything else. We'll definitely be back.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean and pleasant, too. The location made getting around easy, with the island bus station only about 50 meters away.

The host and everyone working with him were so welcoming, and they went out of their way to help us.
