The pool area was lovely and usually quiet, but it got busy on weekends when staff invited family and friends. Sisi is beautiful, with lots of restaurants, though many take cash and not many seem to like card payments. Bring mosquito repellent, it’s really bad here. The nightlife is very quiet, and after 11 nights we were getting bored towards the end. I’d read the reviews and had high expectations, so I came away underwhelmed. I booked a one-bedroom apartment, but it felt quite small. There was no toaster in the kitchen, and the balcony was tiny, just enough room for a table and chairs overlooking the car park. Air conditioning cost an extra 10-15 euros a night, which felt a bit steep. Manos was friendly when we arrived, though seemed grumpy for the rest of our stay. The bar staff were friendly but looked worn out. Pay as you go, because my tab went up by more than 10 euros by the time I paid.

The owner Manos and the staff were super friendly and helpful, arranging taxis and suggesting places to visit. Everything was spotless, from the hotel and pool to our room, which was cleaned beautifully every day. The pool is huge, never crowded, and there was always somewhere to sit. The location is great for shops, restaurants, and the beach. We loved the cute little hotel dog too! We spent a week at mariGianna apartments and highly recommend it. Our room was perfect for a family of four, with a nicely sized fridge and a balcony to sit on. The beds were a bit hard, but that’s how it is in Greece.

The food is mostly bar snacks, and the menu isn’t the most expensive. What they serve is good and reasonably priced. For bigger meals, there are lots of fantastic restaurants and bars within an easy walk, and there’s a shop almost across the road. It’s a lovely, well-designed and well-maintained complex run by a family who work hard to make your stay pleasant. The service is excellent. The rooms are basic but clean, and if you’re like us and spend your time in the water, you won’t be in them much anyway. Definitely recommended.

We’re loving our stay. Manos and the team couldn’t do enough for the guests, and I especially want to compliment the cleaner, Maria. She cleans every room each day and goes above and beyond her duties. If you can, please leave Maria a tip. She misses out, even though she works the hardest from 8 a.m. onwards.
