Ammos Kalamitsi Bungalows & Restaurant

Kalamitsi is small, but the bungalows are just a couple of minutes from two markets and two restaurants, which makes it great for a family getaway. Parking is available nearby, and there are enjoyable hikes in the surrounding hills. Other beautiful spots in Sithonia are within a half-hour drive. The sandy beach is only a few steps away. The rooms are comfortable and hygienic, and the restaurant serves good food. There’s also excellent food available at the restaurant.

For families like ours, the property’s own parking is a real plus. It’s around 200 meters from the entrance. From the bungalows, two restaurants, two markets, and the beach are all within a five-minute walk. Kalamitsi is a small place, with one of the most beautiful beaches around. There are beach bars, plus room to lay out your own towels and umbrellas. The nearby hills offer nice hiking, too. The sandy beach is about a two-minute walk away, and the accommodation was among the cleanest and most comfortable we’ve had in Sithonia over the past two years of vacationing here. An absolute gem.

We’ve come back to Ammos for the third time in ten years. The apartments are clean and comfortable, the hosts are great, and the location is right by the beach. A market and restaurants are only a few steps away, and parking is free.

We’ve always enjoyed staying here. The bungalows are clean and comfortable, and the family who owns the place is kind and helpful. The beach is one of the prettiest around, though I imagine it could get crowded in high season. The restaurant is spacious and has a calm, relaxing feel, especially if you like somewhere quieter. Its service is always impeccable, and the homemade food is the best I’ve tried in Greece, with vegetarian options too. We’ve only been here in June, so I can’t say what it’s like in peak season. A must-visit in Sithonia.
