Hotel Maistrali

We stayed at Maistrali for ten days and weren’t ready to leave. Some rooms have a nice view, and the hosts are friendly and polite. Breakfast is included, too. It’s easy to drive in and out of town if you want to visit another beach, and there’s plenty of parking, which is especially handy in peak season. The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the whole city, so walking back up can be tough when you’re tired. The center is about a 5-10 minute walk, depending on where you’re going. I’d stay here again. We loved the care the family puts into Maistrali. The hosts were warm and happy to help with requests, even putting on Greek music when we mentioned we liked it. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the staff were friendly. Everything was clean, and the views are beautiful. The center of Sarti is only a three-minute walk downhill, though it felt much hotter there and made us want to return to Maistrali. It’s a special place to experience while you’re in Sarti.

Jenny made us feel welcome from the start, and we found the location very cozy. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. Towels were changed every three days and the sheets once a week. Air conditioning was included in the price. We loved the food, too. The portions were generous and the prices lower than at the average Sarti restaurant. We tried moussaka, souvlaki and starters, and everything was very good. We stayed for ten nights and I’d absolutely recommend it. I’ve attached photos of the restaurant view.

The sea view is beautiful, and it’s a laid-back spot for a meal. The food tastes homemade, with generous portions, and it’s really tasty. Getting there means walking up a fairly steep hill, but it’s worth the effort.
