House Filippos

Pretty nice place, friendly staff and good prices.

At least the location is central, and the price was good compared with nearby places. But our three nights were unpleasantly memorable. The room smelled musty, and three of us had only two towels. The air conditioner wasn’t maintained and kept switching off every hour. The bathroom was tiny, and together with the yellow water, which seemed to be a general issue in the area, it made the stay uncomfortable.

The studio smelled so bad that coming back to sleep there made it hard to get proper rest. The room was never cleaned, and sheets were changed only weekly. Even then they arrived dirty and stained. You had to ask specifically for toilet paper. The price certainly wasn’t modest. It’s a real shame, because a few basic things could improve it, like replacing the dirty, worn shower curtain that keeps blocking the drain. After paying the fee in advance, it felt like guests were treated with very little consideration.

The staff were very kind, and the room was spotless. Every time we came back from the beach or an evening walk, it smelled lovely. It had all the useful appliances, an iron, hair dryer, kettle, and coffee maker, plus a stand for our suitcase, something I haven’t found in the other rented rooms we’ve stayed in. They’d left coffee capsules, bread rolls, individual jams, water, and juice in the fridge too. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in beautiful Sarti again. Thanks for everything!
