House Ilias

A good price and an excellent location.

Mr. Ilijas was great. The owners were welcoming, the place was clean, and there was always parking. The only drawbacks were a drain smell for a day or two and the lack of a canopy over the terrace.

The apartment was spacious, and the area was peaceful, with the beach nearby. The supermarket is just around the corner and the pedestrian zone is on the next street. The downsides were no towels, sheets changed only once a week, and internet that was very poor or disconnected for much of our stay.

We couldn't relax with three or four motorbikes belonging to the owner and his family parked by the entrance and constantly being used. They kept leaving and coming back, sometimes every 10 minutes, and were awfully loud. One morning we slept in after usually heading to the beach early. While we were still asleep, the owner's wife came in through the door without warning or knocking. There is no outside handle, and you need a key to enter, so I don't think it could have opened by accident. When she noticed we were awake, she quickly left and shut the door. I can only conclude that she intended to steal something, and it's likely she had been coming by every day.
