House Stelitsa

We stayed five nights in Room 8. The hotel is very close to the beach and the main street with shops and taverns, which were the only real positives for us. The bathroom had no fan. Instead, its window faced the hallway, and the glass bathroom door let hallway light straight into the room whenever someone switched it on. The old AC barely cooled. Power only came on when you inserted a metal block into a wall socket, and the single key was attached to it so you couldn't separate them. After a day at the beach and dinner at a tavern, coming back at night meant a sweltering room. Even with the AC running all night, it didn't cool properly and we slept sweaty. Leaving the door open meant hearing people walking, cars, motorcycles, and other noise. I guess this setup saves electricity, but it's no way to run a hotel. They should at least give guests another key so the room doesn't bake all day. I wouldn't recommend this hotel or come back.

You can hear everything from the noisy room, including sounds from the whole stairway coming straight in. The toilet ventilation is just an opening to the corridor. Staff noise woke us at 7 every day. The AC is fixed at 20 degrees, which is ridiculous: it's cold while it's on, then turns into a sauna when you switch it off. For the room price, it wasn't worth it. Don't stay here if you want to relax.

We spent seven nights here in September. The host was very friendly, and the beach and old center were only a short walk away. It was a clean, lovely place, with towels and linen replaced every three days. Thanks for being so welcoming!

In all my 20 years of travelling, and especially the past six with kids, this was easily my worst stay. The room was only 8 sq.m with no way for fresh air to get in. The bathroom was falling apart, and both the toilet and shower were broken. We had to figure out how to stop the water because it felt like sleeping beside a fountain. The toilet door wouldn't close and had a huge gap, so you could see inside even with it shut. The beds were very hard, and there weren't enough pillows or bed covers for everyone. At check-in, we found a huge clump of hair on the bed and a terrible smell. The AC was just a noisy fan. Even set to 20 degrees, it couldn't bring the room below 29-30 after a couple of hours. And although it's near the sea, the place isn't close to the beach itself.
