Thalassa Hotel

The staff were welcoming and thoughtful, and after a few nights we felt like we were staying with family. The beach was beautiful, with fine white sand, shallow calm water, and jewel-toned colors. Our rooms were kept very clean, and the pool was sparkling. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the food and service at the beach bar were just right for a relaxing holiday. Sarti was just down the road, with bakeries, grocery stores, farmers markets, things for kids to do, and boat cruises. It was family-friendly, with guests of all ages. We liked having a car for day trips to nearby towns and excursions around Sithonia, though we couldn't have been happier with the location. We'd definitely stay again. Thalassa is a gem, and everyone there was amazing.

The bungalow was near both the pool and the sea, and our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including tasty local products. Sofia and Georgia were so helpful and professional, and the service was a full 5/5. We had a great stay, definitely one of my best experiences in Greece. The room was fine, with a lovely view of the sea and Mount Athos, but the shower water didn't drain properly. Breakfast wasn't a buffet. You chose how you wanted your eggs, but then had to wait 15 to 45 minutes for them. The worst part was the cleaning: during our 7 days, the room was cleaned just once. Sheets and towels weren't changed, the floor wasn't cleaned, toilet paper wasn't replenished, and garbage wasn't taken out, so I dealt with it myself. At 150 euro/night, that didn't seem acceptable to me.

Cielo's beach bar has a wonderful view of the Aegean Sea and Mount Athos, with white sand just a minute's walk from the room. We could get drinks, cocktails, food, snacks, and pretty much anything else we wanted there. Dimitris the bartender even made special cocktails to suit requests for salty, sour, spicy 🌶, or sweet flavors. Don't miss dinner either, we loved it. After a few disappointing stays in other hotels in Vourvourou and Gerakini, we were so glad to find this brand new hotel. The rooms were spotless, each with a sea or pool view, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Private parking is available, and the central village of Sarti, with its local souvenirs and other shops, is only a few minutes away. We were sad to leave, but happy we found the place and know we'll be back. Thanks for making our stay so fantastic and sharing your positive energy! 😻
