Villa Maria

Villa Maria made us feel at home. Our room was spotless, roomy, comfortable, and clearly well looked after. Everyone on staff was lovely, especially Marios, who was welcoming and always ready to help. We also loved Daluz Beach Bar, a beautiful place by the sea with a great atmosphere and delicious food. We enjoyed every moment and would gladly recommend Villa Maria to anyone visiting the area. Can't wait to come back!

Georgia really went above and beyond, sharing local tips and working incredibly hard. She's beautiful and charming, and was so helpful throughout. We first booked Villa Maria 2, but the room was too small and some things didn't work, so Georgia, Marios' wife, moved us to Villa Maria. That apartment was absolutely perfect, large, peaceful, and very clean, with a great location. Their beach bar Daluz is brilliant too, and the beach is glorious. I'd definitely stay again. We had three rooms across two bookings, and the rooms were all too small. The overall condition was neglected, and the photos didn't match what we found. Water came from a hydrophore pump, and we were often without it for an hour in the afternoon, just when we needed it most with our 6-month-old baby. There were several broken or unusable fixtures. In studio A1, the kitchen extractor wasn't connected, so using the stove wasn't possible. The family room B4 had poor bathroom lighting because bulbs were missing from the mirror cabinet; the stove knobs were broken, and the bunk bed sat in front of the air conditioning unit, making the top bunk unusable. In studio B2, the balcony door mechanism was broken. One balcony blind was broken too, with its heavy mechanism hanging from the fabric and at risk of falling on someone. The outside room lights and stair lights didn't work, leaving us in complete darkness on steep stairs with a stroller. Our sheets were changed only once during eight nights. Nobody took the garbage, and we weren't given garbage bags.

Our family studio at Villa Maria 2 cost 61 EUR a night for a miserable 10 sq m room. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and the shower had no way to hang it up, so washing your feet was all you could do. The electrical plugs were hanging out of the wall, and I was warned to be careful not to get electrocuted. The mosquito net was torn, the door was broken, and the mattress was in horrible shape. We were moved to Villa Maria 1, but things there were falling apart too. Blue cafe wasn't open, and Daluz beach bar had no water during the last week. This was one of the worst places I've stayed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
