Alkioni by the Sea Hotel

We’re having a wonderful time on our second visit. The rooms are very good and clean, the staff are welcoming and friendly, and the garden areas are kept in excellent shape. We had a ground-floor studio, and being right on the beachfront is super convenient with children. There’s a restaurant and beach bar on site, with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas out front. The seawater is clear blue and shallow. One downside is the beach isn’t as clean as it used to be, and the sand could do with an occasional clean. Parking can be a real problem in high season, so reserve a space when you book.

The bathroom drain was blocked, so water filled the whole room when we showered. The room smelled really bad and wasn’t cleaned at all during our three-night stay. We came with a little baby and had to leave the car two streets away because their “parking” was full. After we had an issue with our baby, we asked to leave on the second day, but they wouldn’t refund even a third of what we’d paid. Very, very disappointing.

You can hear the waves at night from the Comfort Double Sea View room we stayed in. The location is spot on, basically on the beach, though the rooms could use some renovation, at least the bathroom.

Studion 18 is right by the beach, just a few steps away. The sand is nice and the water clear blue. Inside, the room is stylish and modern, with lovely blinds and new amenities, including the stove, oven, cutlery, and fridge.
