Elani Bay Resort

The beach was amazing, and the frappe was one of the best I’ve had in Greece, which made the poor customer service even more disappointing. I was charged 6.50€ even though the menu lists it at 4.50€. When I ordered, the waiter didn’t say there was a 2€ extra charge for milk, and the menu at the time didn’t mention it. The manager brushed me off and didn’t seem concerned. There’s a lot of potential here, but they don’t seem to think long-term or care much about customer satisfaction. For visitors, the menu is at https://www.elaniresort.gr/el/menu. Two sunbeds and an umbrella in the back row cost 15€.

Breakfast was good, probably the best thing about the hotel. The location is also nice, right by the beach. But the price is very high for what you get. The rooms need renovation, the windows don’t work, and cleanliness is lacking. There’s no dedicated resident parking, and the area gets so crowded that you might have to park far away. The beach bar was a letdown too, with no food other than pizza.

The hotel could have been a wonderful resort, but there are too many problems for me to recommend it, especially if you don’t have your own vehicle. There are no nearby shops for basics like sunscreen or drinks. The reception staff were polite and helpful, though the rest of the service disappointed us. The beautiful beach wasn’t clean enough, and hotel guests can only use sunbeds from the fourth row back because the first three rows cost extra. The pool was quite dirty too, and guest comfort didn’t seem to be a priority. Food was another issue. Breakfast is served only on an outdoor terrace, with no indoor option, and wasps swarmed around so much that we had to take food back to our room. The beach bar had a couple of pizza choices on some days, but usually nothing at all. The natural surroundings and location are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, but a bit outdated. For some reason, the mosquito nets on the terraces didn’t work at all. Better logistics and service would make a big difference.

The bar service was below expectations. We waited 45 minutes for pizza and chicken nuggets, then were told, when the pizza arrived, that the nuggets had run out. They didn’t bring any plates or napkins with the food. Next time I’ll go to Siviri for a proper lunch and normal service.
