The villa looked smart and had tasteful decor, good equipment, and a wonderful location. But it didn’t live up to the advertised luxury: there were no beach robes as promised. The garden and pool arrangement also meant no afternoon or evening sun. I reported small leaks in the pipework to the owner, but they weren’t repaired during our stay. Cleaning was uneven and not thorough.

A lovely village, a beautiful pool, and a villa that was clearly well cared for.

By the pool there are chairs, sun loungers with an awning, and a pergola lounge with a table and chairs where you can eat. The maisonette is decent and very close to the sea at Skala Kefalonia beach. Downstairs has the kitchen and dining area, a living room with TV, and an extra toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, toilet, and air conditioning, plus a balcony with a table and chairs facing the beach. The kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, toaster, fryer, kettle, and coffee makers for French coffee and espresso, along with the dishes, glasses, spoons, and cutlery you need.
