Hotel Galini

After a ferry was cancelled early on our last morning in Patmos, we found this family-run hotel in Skala and were checking in within an hour. The rooms felt traditional and homely, and were spotless. It’s only a minute or two from the port, tucked into a quiet corner of town. We enjoyed the included breakfast in a lovely, peaceful courtyard. We felt at home from the beginning and would definitely stay again.

After four stays, we feel like family to each other, and I’ll keep coming back. It’s a small, family-owned hotel, with all the good things that brings. The location is perfect, everything is very clean, and the service has been excellent whenever I’ve asked for something. The people who own it are the sweetest and most deserving.

The owners were really friendly and helpful, and took care of everything we asked for. I visited this small hotel in Skala in November, so it wasn’t crowded. The rooms are spacious with rustic decor, but the place is quite old and the facilities haven’t been renovated. It was mostly cloudy, and we had a lack of hot water during the last two days. Breakfast was decent, but just an average hotel breakfast, with nothing special or local. Daily cleaning helped keep the room tidy, although when I first entered, the toilet looked as if someone else had used it.

Mrs Katerina and Mr Dimitris were always kind and helpful, greeting us with a warm smile. The cleaning service was excellent, too. This is a cozy hotel right beside the port, just a one-minute walk when you arrive. I’d definitely stay here again someday.
