Melidron Hotel

The rooms could do with some updating, but the small bar has nice staff and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. There’s a supermarket next door, and the small apartments are friendly and well located. It’s good value for money, and the swimming pool is probably the best in the area. I’m here for my second visit, and you won’t find a better pool anywhere.

The rooms are basic but comfortable, which matches the star rating and room price. They’re spotless every day and have everything needed, including air conditioning in the price. We had a lovely holiday and will definitely book again. The pool was great, especially with an ice-cold Mythos from the pool bar. The location is close to the beach and an easy walk to the centre of Skala. The hosts are excellent, especially Zefie and Lea, who made us feel so welcome. They’re full for the rest of this year, otherwise we’d be back later this summer.

The pool stays cool all day, which is really refreshing, and the pool bar serves daytime snacks and happy hour cocktails in the evening. It’s a lovely spot. The hotel is fabulous and perfectly placed, just a two-minute walk to the beach and restaurants. The rooms have everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Air conditioning is free, with a unit in each room to keep the whole apartment cool. Rooms are cleaned daily, and fresh room towels and pool towels are provided free. The staff are wonderful, especially Wendy, who looked after us. A big thank you to her.

We had such a pleasurable stay that we’re already thinking about when to come back. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Bedrooms are huge, with a small kitchen area and a table. The poolside bar serves food and stays open late, but it never felt noisy or crowded. The pool and lido area were perfect for lazy morning frappes, absolute bliss. It’s just off the beach and still a short walk into town.
