Koukounaries Studios

Mrs. Sofia is a lovely lady, and her husband is a nice guy. I’ve been around almost all of Kefalonia, and I stayed in Koukounaries last year. The rooms are excellent and the area is quiet. I had an adventure with toothaches, so Mrs. Sofia will remember me if she reads this. I’ll go again this July if I can find a room. Nanai is always good.

We had an apartment with a big terrace, and a very pleasant lady looked after us. She cleaned the whole place and changed the bed linen and towels every four days.

The hostess was cheerful, kind and very helpful. She even took away our rubbish each day, though guests in rented rooms are responsible for that. The garden was lovely and well kept, with plenty of parking right outside. The rooms are in an excellent spot, three minutes’ walk from the village. We could open the window and hear only birds and cicadas, with no noise disturbing the peace. The room was spotless and sheets and towels were changed regularly, though the bedspreads smelled musky. Prices were normal.

One of the two sites was closed, but they still charged the full ticket price. It was 50°C inside the site, even in early May.
