Regina dell Acqua Resort

We've stayed at the Regina 14 times and already have a two-week visit booked for 2026. After so many memorable trips, we think of Anastasia and Evangelos as dear friends. Katerina deserves a mention too, she always takes such good care of us at breakfast and with anything else we need. The location is gorgeous, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and we think this is an amazing hotel. Apart from the very occasional troublesome guest, everyone we've met over the years seems to love the place and keep coming back. Simply the best!

The food is first class, and we had half board. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff feel like old friends. Anastasia and her husband are always around, checking that everything is okay. The boys in the restaurant were great fun, and I hope they're both there next year. This is our third visit, and we've already booked again for next year. Can't wait.

The hotel itself was fantastic once we arrived, with lovely clean rooms and a good breakfast selection. The admin caused a rough start, though. We'd confirmed our dates and had them confirmed back on the booking form, but three days before arrival they told us they'd double-booked half our stay, so we had to find somewhere else to stay for those nights. They did let us use the facilities, including breakfast.

Anastasia welcomed us warmly and makes a point of greeting guests every day. She's quick to sort out any issues, and the many people who return year after year say a lot about the hotel. Regina del Acqua is lovely, in a peaceful spot close to Skala village. There's a small supermarket next door, and lovely tavernas nearby. A 10-minute walk north takes you to a delicious patisserie, while Skala is 15 minutes to the south. The beach is just across the road, with clear, clean water full of fish, which is unusual for a sandy beach. Swimming there was a delight, though swim shoes are a good idea because of the small pebbles by the shore. The beach felt very safe and peaceful, with few people walking along it and no jet skis or boats. Guests have plenty of comfortable sunbeds on the beach, though the poolside beds are even comfier. The pool is raised up and has beautiful views along the beach in both directions. Our room was comfortable, with a pretty balcony and bistro furniture, plus a small fridge and safe. Everything was very clean, and the bedding and both the pool and room towels were high quality and changed daily. The breakfast and kitchen staff were wonderful too. The a la carte restaurant was superb. Ilas and Fotis worked so hard to make every meal a great experience, and the chefs made amazing food. It was all delicious, especially the tzatziki. The restaurant overlooks the pool and sea, and the evening ambience is wonderful. We had a fabulous holiday and look forward to returning.
