The rooms were filthy and nothing like the advertised photos, and the whole place was in unacceptable condition. Keys were left out where anyone could take them, which made me feel completely unsafe. No one seemed to care or check on guests, and cockroaches all over the yard made it impossible to relax. This villa in Skala, Kefalonia was a complete disappointment, highly misrepresented, and should be avoided. I strongly advise against booking it.

The location is the one thing that earns this two-star rating. The beach, pedestrian zone, cafes, restaurants, and markets are all easy to reach, and the neighborhood isn't too busy or noisy, so you can rest. We booked through 'Puzzle Group' because the offer seemed fine, but the accommodation wasn't worth the price. The room was spacious, but barely furnished. There was no TV or indoor table and chairs. We had to eat outside, right by the entrance and stairs on the ground floor, where everyone could see our meals. They didn't mention the lack of WiFi in the offer, only telling us when we arrived. For a 10-day stay, we got just one roll of toilet paper and less than half a container of liquid soap, so we bought more ourselves. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with a tiny counter where making a sandwich was hard, let alone anything more involved. The pot and pan were too small to cook a meal for two, and there was no dish rack, so drying dishes on the sink's metal surface cut down on the workspace. The electric kettle was useful, and the fridge worked well, though it was ancient. The kitchen was right beside the double bed, which made the room even less functional. The window was too small to bring in much air or light. It had a built-in insect screen, but being next to the entrance meant we had to keep the curtains shut for privacy. We spent 10 days in a dim room. After every shower, the bathroom flooded because the drain couldn't handle the water quickly enough. For two days, the whole house had no hot, or even warm, water, so everyone had to take cold showers. We didn't get any clothes pins for our laundry and had to hope the wind wouldn't blow our things away. At least the AC was included in the price and worked, as the agency said it would.

At first glance it seemed okay, and we had a two-bedroom apartment. But one room had mold on the wall that had eaten through the wardrobe. The owner said the WiFi and hot water would be fixed, but we had no WiFi for all 10 days and no hot water for a couple of days. The fridge was full of ice and only partly usable. The wooden doors and windows looked about 100 years old, so heat got inside easily. The old AC was good enough, but I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone.

Not worth the money at all. It was dirty, poorly hygienic, full of bugs, and there was no kitchen equipment.
