Casa Blue Marine

The location is very central, which also means there’s too much noise to sleep easily. The whole property had an unpleasant smell, especially the suite. Its bathroom felt like a poor afterthought that didn’t fit the room, and patches of foil on the ceiling made it look worse than it actually was. The street door is aluminum, like something from a cheap place, and that was a sore point. There were good things too. The staff met us at the ferry and walked us to the property, which was a superlative experience. We had a double room and a suite, both spacious, especially the suite, with lots of nice details, enormous beds, and a lovely balcony.

The hill makes getting here a bit of a climb, but I managed fine. The rooms were surprisingly affordable and comfortable, and the bathroom design was really unique. The balcony door kept out so much outside noise. I loved staying here. The cleaning ladies were kind and very helpful, and you can watch planes landing from the balcony. There isn’t really a reception, so we were met off the boat. Our contact was available on WhatsApp whenever needed, though we didn’t really need to get in touch. The room was lovely, with a nice feel to it and a view over the new Harbour quay. The bed was really comfortable too.

We got an upgraded room with a lovely view over the harbour, which was really nice. Rediana, the hostess, was so pleasant and helpful, a real credit to the hotel. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.
