Evans Studio

Our room was on the ground floor, and we were traveling with a small child. After a severe storm was forecast for the next four or five days, we decided to leave the island. We had prepaid for eight nights but stayed only two, since the storm hit on the third day. The hotel refused our request for a refund for the remaining nights. We knew the booking was non-refundable, but I hadn’t expected there to be no exception for force majeure, with a hurricane, rivers in the streets, and no electricity or water. We left anyway, and I’m glad we did because otherwise we could have been in serious trouble. The room for three was really, really tiny, and the shower was very uncomfortable. They said there was parking, but that’s a lie: you park wherever you find a spot, if you can find one.

It was a cozy place, and in five minutes on foot you’re in the center among shops, restaurants and bars. We had two separate beds. I’d have given it five stars if they’d been one big bed. Still, it’s a great place to stay and doesn’t cost that much.

The location is very central, with lots of amenities and the main shopping street only a few minutes away on foot. Our room had a large bathroom and good water pressure, but it faced the street and had almost no soundproofing. We heard doors closing and people talking inside the building, as well as cars and motorcycles outside. The air conditioning was noisy at night because it had no night mode, and the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. There was no bin in the room, just a small one in the bathroom.

Apostolis, the receptionist in charge, does an amazing job keeping the place sparkling clean. He also kindly held our luggage on our last day after checkout. We had a lovely stay, and the location is amazing too. Huge thanks to you, Apostolis. Hope to see you again soon!
