The location is handy for exploring chora on foot, just off the main street, and it's surprisingly quiet there. My room was clean and pleasant, with a mini fridge and towels provided. There was no shampoo or shower gel, though, and the old A/C was weak. The balcony was small and looked onto an empty lot, with no view. The older woman at reception and the cleaning lady were both very friendly. The two younger staff members didn't make us feel welcome. Sound carries terribly through the paper-thin doors, and you can hear everything from every floor. It's a good option if you want to stay in chora close to everything, but for what it offers, I found it very overpriced, even though it was otherwise a good place to stay.

Free parking came with the room, which was a real help because parking in Skiathos is almost impossible. We hired a car, though most things are close by: the port and a bus stop for the beach are a short walk away, and Megali Ammos beach is also walkable. The hotel is just off Papadiamanti St, Skiathos's main street with most of the shops, and there are several cafes and restaurants nearby. The renovated rooms were cleaned every day, and the staff were fantastic, helpful and full of useful tips. We really enjoyed our stay at Central and highly recommend it.
