I’m tired of places using photos that make a room look bigger than it is, and this felt misleading. The room is tiny. There was maybe a 30 cm passage between the bed and balcony to get to the other side of the bed. In the bathroom, sitting on the toilet and leaning meant I could hit my head on the wall, and there wasn’t room to spread my arms. It felt like a room for dwarfs. If it’s that small, why not show it honestly instead of using great photos that make people think there’s more space? I’m sorry I couldn’t take photos. The balcony was so tiny there was hardly any point to it. I had other booking options and regret not taking them. This new thing in Greece, where people try to deceive and lie with photos to get bookings, has worn me out.

We’d been moved here because another hotel had overbooked us, but since we were only staying one night to catch our flight, it was no biggie. The rooms were traditional and basic. Noisy guests woke us up, so I assume the walls are thin. It’s okay for a few nights, but I wouldn’t stay longer.

The staff at Vila Skianthion were so friendly and attentive, and we were delighted by a thoughtful gift basket. Our superior double room was very clean, especially the bathroom, and housekeeping brought fresh towels and cleaned it daily. The owner was always available for questions or requests and offered helpful tips, including restaurant recommendations we tried and really liked. It’s a peaceful spot close to central Skiathos, with a leisurely 10-minute walk to the port. The location is tucked away from the main street, so we could enjoy a quiet stay. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The rooms have been renovated, and our balcony had a lovely city view. We were right in the city center, near the bus stop, and they even helped us rent a scooter. The hostess was very nice and helpful, and we got discounts at some really good restaurants and bars. There was also a welcome gift basket in the room. I’ll definitely come back to the island!

A quiet street made it easy to sleep and relax, even though the room was very close to the main shopping street. The room was modern and had all the usual comforts: air conditioning, a walk-in shower, fridge, TV and kettle with free coffee. The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was excellent value.
