Lovely staff. The hotel is super cute and quiet. If you want to relax, this is the place. It’s also a short walk to the city, about 10 minutes. The only downside is breakfast. You can just walk into town to find food, though. Honestly, being so close to the city center makes this hotel a wonderful place to stay.

The worst ever: dirty, smelly rooms with a sewage-like odor, and a mattress that was so thin and stained, with hairs on it! They showed us another room, but it was just as bad. We knew it was a basic option, but expected it to be clean and comfortable. We checked out within an hour and found somewhere else. You’ve been warned...

We’ve just returned from a 10-night stay at Stellina and were pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews before booking. Here’s my personal, honest review. Service: The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the barman Yannis was always helpful and smiling. After a few days he got to know us, remembered what we liked to order from the bar, and helped us put up the pool umbrellas. Pool area: It was lovely, with a big pool and no need to fight for sunbeds, even during the peak of the summer holidays. Sunbeds on one side have umbrellas for shade; trees on the other side provide plenty of shade after noon, which is great too. Pool bar drinks and food are reasonably priced, with bottled water at €0.50. The pool area is open from 8 to 8, but the pool closes at 7 and drinks stop around then. People complain about this, but there’s only one man at the bar. It’s good to remember that he works long hours every day throughout the summer. The shops are also only a short five-minute walk away. Cleaning: The rooms are cleaned daily. Sheets are changed every fourth day and towels every third day. This is clearly stated in your room when you arrive. It’s important to remember this is a two-star hotel and doesn’t claim to be anything more. Location: We loved the location because it’s near the airport, so the transfer is short. It’s directly across from the football ground, which my boyfriend loved and used for his morning runs. It’s a 15-minute walk into Skiathos town and to the start of the port, which is beautiful! There’s some light airport noise, but we liked hearing the planes. It’s a matter of personal preference. Breakfast: It was standard and simple, with bread, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, croissants, biscuits, cereal, Greek yogurt, fruit, coffee, water, and orange juice. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10, and the attentive staff regularly refill the food, so even when we went down late there was still plenty of choice. Transport: The connections around the island are excellent. Buses cost about €2 per person across the island, based on our experience. Taxis from the port to the hotel cost €5 during the day and €8 at night. We only used them during the day because we enjoyed the evening walk, and there was often a taxi queue for people staying farther into Skiathos. We also took several water taxis to beaches, costing €6 each, and it was lovely to travel by sea! We would stay here again if we came back. A couple of things to keep in mind: - There’s a tax or arrival charge of €1.50 per day for the two of us, so we paid €15 altogether. This isn’t specific to Stellina, as we’ve had to pay it elsewhere too!

Perfect! The staff were so helpful throughout my stay, including answering questions about Skiathos Town and the bus routes. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and the pool and breakfast were lovely. I definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Skiathos. It has a lovely atmosphere and is a lovely place to be, as well as being not far from a supermarket and Skiathos Town.

We stayed here in August. First, the positives: our room was clean and spacious, although I think the two of us ended up in a family room. The staff were outstanding and helpful. It’s a 10-minute walk from the harbour and a three-minute walk from bus stop number 1. Negatives: The pool bar has very little food choice, the food is expensive for its quality, and the bar closes at 6 PM. The bathroom was missing a shower door, which was never replaced. The patio door lock was broken, so we couldn’t secure the room. The pool looked lovely and clean, but on closer inspection the black grout turned out to be green algae on white grout, and the whole pool needed a good scrub. The grounds haven’t seen a gardener in a long time, with the grass, bushes, and shrubs very overgrown. Air conditioning costs €10 per day, a charge I’ve never had with Jet2. It’s a two-star hotel, but until the owners spend money on it, I’d give it one star. We still enjoyed Skiathos, although we felt a bit ripped off by the accommodation.
