During Storm Daniel, while widespread flooding hit Skiathos, we had no food or water for 24 hours because the flooded access left us unable to get in or out. We asked the hosts for water and were told they had none. Then, while we watched, the family cooked and ate their own food on the courtyard veranda. We couldn't believe it, especially after our previous experiences of Greek hospitality. As the situation became an emergency, they gave us no advice or help. We understand the flooding itself was beyond their control, but their response and lack of empathy were shocking. Avoid staying here. There was no 24-hour reception, and despite the description, no tea or coffee in the rooms. They don't take card payments, and they didn't check our passport details when we arrived. It was an awful experience, and I'd advise people to stay clear at all costs.

We were stuck at the property during the recent floods because the streets were underwater. The hosts didn't offer any food or water all day. We couldn't reach our next accommodation, and since the rooms were fully booked for a second night, some kind guests offered us a place in their room. The hosts refused, saying it was against policy. At 8pm they ushered us onto the flooded streets, where we had to knock on doors with the internet down. Apparently, asking us to pay cash and offering a small discount if we didn't request a receipt wasn't against their policy. We were unfortunate to be staying there during the floods, but the hosts came across as disgraceful and only interested in money. There was no hospitality, and they treated guests like cattle.

Our host Ioanna was lovely, gave us ideas about where to go, and made the best frappe we had on the island. The central location meant we could leave the car behind when going out and explore the island during the day. The bus stop is five minutes away if you don't have a car. Thank you!
