Karafelas Hotel

For a place labeled one star, it was a pleasant surprise. The room had three single beds; we pushed them together and that worked out fine. The air conditioning was good enough, though sometimes there was a smell and we couldn't tell what it was. The rooms were nowhere near as ugly as they looked in the other review photos. They're perfectly okay for a visit, as long as you don't expect a luxury hotel. There was some dirt under the beds, but the areas that needed to be clean were clean. The sheets could maybe use an extra wash. The bathroom was good, with a good hair dryer, and towels were supplied and replenished. The main drawback was that there wasn't really a receptionist. That wasn't much trouble since we could leave the keys at the desk, and someone was there for check-in. The woman wasn't unpleasant like some reviews said, and kindly let us check out late and leave our bags so we could explore before our flight. It's very close to everything and the beach. I'd recommend it as a decent, budget-friendly central hotel. If you're from the UK, it's basically like a Travelodge without the food. I was worried by the reviews, but it was good.
