The location worked well, about 2 minutes from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the center. It’s off the main road, so there’s less traffic noise, and the first-floor balcony is nice. The room itself was clean, with towels changed every 3 days and the room cleaned every 2 days. That schedule would have been fine if the sewage system didn’t require toilet paper to go in a bin, which could sit there for 2 days before anyone took the trash out. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out every 5 minutes, so don’t rely on it if you need a steady connection. Inside, it’s the usual minimalist Greek style, with basic kitchen utensils and a tiny two-burner stove that looked like it dated back to WW2 and was covered in layers of dirt. The bathroom had a curtain instead of a shower cabin, with a floor drain. On arrival we also had to pay an “environmental tax” of 16.5 eur, though it seemed some previous guests had been told this was for “cleaning services”. All in all, very poor value for the money.

The room was basic and overpriced, though the location was convenient. The attitude and lack of respect made the stay much worse. I’d already read a similar complaint on trip advisor, but I usually don’t need anything, so I didn’t take it seriously. Then bees kept flying into my room all day from behind a picture on the wall. It wasn’t just one bee, and I was scared they were nesting there. When I asked for help, I was turned down very rudely. I called our agent, who contacted the man. I believe he sprayed something, because there was a smell in the room when we got back, though I wasn’t there at the time. On the last day, it was pouring rain and my son was sick after vomiting all night. We were packed, but stayed in the room after eleven so he could rest in bed. At 11:30 the man came in without knocking and started pulling the sheets from under my son while yelling, “CHECK OUT! CHECK OUT!” I asked if we could stay a little longer because there was nowhere to go, it was cats and dogs outside, and my son was ill. He kept taking the sheets and towels and shouting, “WE NEED A ROOM!” We went to a nearby restaurant and sat there all day, waiting for our flight pickup at 21. Later I heard from the other tenants that nobody had come to the room until now. Unfortunately, those people are still stuck there because of flooding and no traffic, and flights have been canceled. In other houses, I was told everyone was allowed to stay until 3, and a mother and daughter could stay in their room until 4. If you think you won’t need anything and won’t even see the owner, you might be mistaken. At the moment people are starving, with no water and no electricity. Some basic help and care would be very comforting.

Everything was great apart from people often passing by the rooms, which can be noisy. If you can, choose a second-floor room to avoid that. The rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies, and have a kitchenette with basic utensils and a kettle. The location is perfect.

Good spot and affordable prices.

The location is the one thing that makes this place worthwhile, but I’m convinced there are much better options on the same street for the same money. The price-quality ratio is poor, and it’s below average overall. We booked through the Mediteraneo agency and were very disappointed they offered us this setup for 700e +... per person. If we’d known, we wouldn’t have agreed. We stayed on the ground floor, and people literally walk past your accommodation, so there’s no privacy. You also notice exhaust fumes from motorbikes or quads, even on the narrow street. The ground-floor sewage system can smell unpleasant. For couples wanting a double bed, be ready to hear only when you arrive that they’ll push two separate beds together. Even if you complain, they’ll find X ways to get rid of you nicely. There’s no hairdryer or mosquito net. You’re left either sleeping with the balcony door open and dealing with mosquitoes, or running the air conditioner. There’s no third choice. The owner is very inconsiderate and came into the room once without knocking, which was quite enough. I won’t go into the details. No apology or anything. The agency doesn’t tell you that 15e is some kind of extra charge for cleaning. They also denied us a parking space. There is a garage, but the owner won’t let guests park there. I didn’t ask, but I believe he wants cash for it. For people from Serbia and beyond, I’d say look only at the 1st floor. No ground floor.
