We loved the week we spent here in spring. We had a ground floor room that was spotless, with daily cleaning while we were out. Maria was always helpful and gave us plenty of ideas for things to see and do on the island. I’d read complaints about dirty rooms, but that wasn’t our experience. Breakfast was the highlight: gorgeous, all you can eat, and my girlfriend says she’d return just for that. The hotel is quiet and out of the way, with friendly, respectful guests and no noise problems. From the pool area the view is astonishing, taking in the island, town, docks, beaches and more. We spent our first evening by the pool with cocktails and that view. It is up a steep hill, so I’d suggest a vehicle if walking is difficult. We managed the whole week on foot, though, and I enjoyed the walks up and down to town. The only issue was that the tap water looked brown and gammy on our first day. We reported it and it was sorted the next day, so it wasn’t a big deal. A great stay, and I’d consider coming back to Skiathos.

This was our second stay at Vigles, and we’re already thinking of booking again next year. The lovely staff, peaceful atmosphere and spectacular views are what make it so special. Sometimes the pool area was so quiet it felt as if we had our own villa and staff 😁 The hotel sits high on the hill, so you’ll need a taxi or their shuttle to reach town or the beaches, but the views make it worthwhile. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and cleaned every day. Breakfast has plenty of choice. Pool snacks are limited, though the food they do serve is delicious. Marcie and Maria deserve a special mention for always trying to meet our needs ❤️

After a week on Alonissos, I arrived exhausted because I’d decided to walk up from the port 😅 I wouldn’t recommend doing that with luggage, take a taxi. I was welcomed so warmly from the start. Breakfast looked beautiful and had lots of choices; they clearly put effort into it. I can’t eat much in the morning and had to rush to my flight, so sadly I missed most of it. I work in gastro in Austria, where standards are often pretty high, and this stay still caught me off guard in the best way. Thanks for everything!

It’s a peaceful spot on the hillside, with views to die for. The rooms were fresh and clean, and the showers had warm water with decent pressure. Maria and the other bar staff were lovely, cheerful and always ready to help. You’ll need a car, moped or quad here, but the harbour is just 3 minutes down the hill by car. Beaches are between 5 and 20 minutes away. My wife and I are just finishing our stay and plan to book again for next year.
