Breakfast was included and good, and a room facing the sea gives you a nice view. The hotel sits right on the waterfront, just a few hundred meters from the ferry landing, restaurants, bars, and bus station. My only issue was the mattress, which wasn’t very comfortable.

The port view from the room is amazing, and the hotel is easy to find, right by the main strip with most of the local shops. The cancellation terms are fairly flexible too. Inside, though, the room felt extremely old. Furniture was dirty, worn, or broken, many sheets had holes and some were dirty. The air conditioner only worked about 40% of the time and could suddenly shut off for the rest of the day. The TV, which looked at least 20 years old, didn’t work at all, and the WiFi was nearly impossible to connect to and basically useless. We waited an extra 2 hours to get into the room because it hadn’t been cleaned. Once inside, the fridge wasn’t plugged in, so it took around 8 hours before we could properly store anything. The toilet lid wasn’t attached to the seat either, and we had to fit it ourselves after the cleaning staff had already left. They cleaned every day, but only changed towels and sheets every 2-3 days. The floors were generally dirty, and the toilet still had stains from the previous user. Staff were really unwelcoming and rude when we arrived. You pay too much for what you get. I know we stayed in high season, but there’s a limit, and this didn’t meet any standard. It’s a shame such a spectacular view and location are overshadowed by so many problems inside. I’d only suggest it as a last resort.

I asked for my money back on the first day so we could find another hotel, but they refused. After going over the problems with the owner a couple of times, I gave up. They didn’t seem to care or see an issue, despite the negative reviews mentioning the same problems. Even locals on the island knew this hotel was no good. Long story short, stay somewhere else. The first room smelled of mold and was dusty and dirty, with rubbish left on the floor by previous guests and dirty baby wipes in the fridge. The bedsheets and towels were extremely old and in bad shape, with large yellow stains. The owner said that was fine because the stains didn’t come out in the wash. Our AC blew warm air even though it was set to 16 degrees. When I raised these issues, the owner made it feel like I was the problem. Not once did they say they were sorry for the inconvenience. We asked for the room to be cleaned again and for fresh sheets. They did that, but we still found rubbish under the bed. Because of the AC, we asked to move rooms. The second room was better, but still had old pillows and mattresses, and the towels and sheets felt dirty. We stayed 4 nights and they didn’t change them at all. The room service worker once unlocked the door and came in while we were inside sleeping, without knocking, to ask if we wanted room service. There were two of us women on the bed. It was unacceptable and left me shaken, but I don’t blame the worker. He didn’t seem to know English or Greek. The owners should have handled that properly.

One of the worst hotels you could stay at in Skopelos!

The island is worth a visit for its beaches and attractions, and the hotel is very close to the shops, just 2 minutes from the port. But no one told us the parking was public, beyond the pedestrian street that closes at midnight, so we had to pay for private parking. The bed was broken underneath, and with no bathroom curtain, water kept getting everywhere. Towels and sheets were changed every 2 days. Breakfast was average and didn’t have much variety.
