Irene's Paradise

The view from the upstairs double bed over the harbor and city is wonderful. Downstairs there are two single beds, and the maisonette is nicely furnished throughout. Irene's Paradise has only just been completed and sits in a beautiful spot overlooking Skopelos town. Managers Irene and Dimitry were warm and helpful, making us feel like we were in paradise. Irini and Dimitris were wonderful, even picking us up from the port after our boat brought us to Agnontas instead of Skopelos. The rooms had everything we needed and were cleaned daily. Irene's Paradise is near the town and port but set away from the center, so it's calm and quiet, with an amazing view. We had such a great time and would absolutely stay there again.

We planned to spend three days here before heading north on the island, but liked it so much that we stayed for our whole trip. Irene and Dimitri were great hosts and helped us with what we needed. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. The terrace has a lovely view, perfect for ending the day with a glass of wine. The city is only a three-minute drive away, so we could enjoy the restaurants and evening atmosphere in Skopelos town, then return to a calm, quiet area.

My booking, made four months ahead, was canceled just an hour before check-in. I've traveled across every continent and have never had this happen. When I called for an explanation, the host said she had cancer and had to cancel without notice. I believe that was made up, since the booking platform listed overbooking as the reason. This is completely unacceptable. Shame on you for showing no respect to your customers or to people battling cancer. I'm disgusted.
