The bathroom was much older than we expected, and it made the room feel cheap. I also found the pet rules hard to accept. We told the owner through Booking on July 2 that we’d bring our kitten for our stay on the 31st, but she asked us to keep him away from the linens, couch, and bed. If a place is listed as pet-friendly, I don’t understand having restrictions on where the pet can go, including when we’re out or in the room. She said, “I've seen a lot that's why l'm pointing it out,” and raised the same point on a call after we arrived. That felt unacceptable. The arrival was a mess as well. Around two hours before we reached the island, the owner called to ask when we’d arrive so we could phone her when she needed to be at the hotel to give us the room. We tried calling and texting nine times with no answer. We parked and carried our luggage to the residence, then waited 30 minutes in Skopelos’s 40-degree heat with bags and an exhausted cat. She called 40 minutes later, apologized, and said she’d forgotten her phone. Her daughter couldn’t come open the place because she was working, so we went up ourselves. The daughter came to greet us later and was very nice and apologetic. The owner’s behavior, though, was extremely unprofessional. I would have liked to return because the price was good compared with other places, but I won’t be going back. The owner later said we hadn’t told her about the pet; the conversation receipts attached below show that I had.

A very good option on Skopelos, with excellent value for money. The rooms were very clean, neat, and attractive inside, and the location was extremely convenient.

Very clean and conveniently located. The one drawback was no air conditioning in the bedroom, though there was a fan to make up for it.
