Stafylos Suites Boutique Hotel

Getting groceries meant going a little out of the way, but the bus was convenient and the hotel’s evening shuttle worked well. We also had good access to the beach and a local restaurant. The rooms and facilities were exceptionally clean, and the staff were great, especially Luca. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stafylos Suites.

The cleaning was excellent, the staff were nice, and we liked the location and comfortable lounge and pool area. There was also a town transfer every day from 19 to 22. Our one-bedroom apartment didn’t look like we expected from the photos. The bedroom had no exterior window, and the mattresses were very soft. Furniture felt on the legs would help, since the noise carried through the apartment at night.

The small beaches were the real gems for us, often with a beach bar and sun loungers to rent for the day. The bars had good toilet facilities, so it was easy to spend hours there, and the snorkelling was excellent. We also visited several lovely beaches by car and saw the film locations. In the port town there’s great shopping and plenty of food options, plus some lovely bars, including two under big Plane trees that give welcome shade. Our suite was in a great spot, away from noisy nightlife but close enough to go into town. We stayed a week, four of us in one bedroom suite 204. It had two single beds in the living room and a large double in the bedroom, all with excellent mattresses. There was a kitchenette and a table for four inside, plus two balconies, one with another table for four. Storage was good, and the bathroom had a strong, roomy shower. The staff were very friendly. The only room issue was that the bedroom door wouldn’t stay shut and kept popping open, when we all wanted privacy. We found the hotel well located and would suggest renting a car to see the island. Book your ferries once your flights are set and sort out the connections in advance. Online advice saying you can wait until you arrive doesn’t account for the days when the small boats run, and those get booked up. Be prepared and you’ll be fine.

The suites were peaceful and lovely, very clean, and everything worked. The rooms were lovely too. I can’t fault it.
