The weak WiFi was a downside, though maybe a plus if you’re trying to switch off. It was barely usable most of the time, so working online could be a problem. The apartments are basic but have what you need, and there’s a taverna, beach bar and small grocery shop nearby. The beach is close too, though it’s narrow and got crowded in August. It works well for little kids, but we preferred other beaches in the morning and came back here for a couple of hours before sunset. A good base for relaxing and exploring Pelion. We’d consider Sikia next time we’re in the area.

The houses sit a bit uphill, but the views make the climb worthwhile. They’re stone-built and have the basics, including a kitchen, fridge and bedroom, along with all the amenities we needed. Safety measures were followed, and baby cots are available. There’s a lovely tavern down by the beach, with camping sites on both sides of the houses.

We usually like discovering somewhere new rather than returning to the same place, but we liked Sikia so much that we came back for a second year. It’s clean and peaceful, with warm water, good food and a nice cafe. Families come from all over Europe, and you can often hear ten or more different languages on the beach. They separate waste, though there’s still room to cut down on plastic. It would also be nice to have a beach volleyball or football area where the kids could get together.

A lovely spot for families with children. The apartments are spacious, very clean and have a great view. The camping area is surrounded by trees and kept very clean, and there’s a nice beach as well. You’ll also find a restaurant, cafeteria-bar and a supermarket with a gift shop.

The food was really good, especially the octopus, the best we’ve ever eaten. We also liked the rooms and apartments, and the staff were friendly. A very nice place, everything was great.
