Okeanis Studios and Apartments

I left some personal belongings behind by accident during my stay. The owners eventually replied to my first email after a month, saying they had found the items and still had them. I sent my shipping details, but since then they've ignored my emails for another month.

The rooms need work: the furniture is outdated, and the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are small. They definitely aren't suitable for three people. Outside, though, the garden is lovely, with lots of trees and flowers, and the owners are very nice. It feels like Mamma Mia, and the beach is right there, fairly private, with sunbeds provided by Okeanis.

We stayed 12 days and had a good time, but keep an eye on whether the price feels worthwhile. At 90€ a night in high season, the very basic rooms are reasonable, especially for longer stays on a tight budget. The private beach is good for children, with calm water and no waves. It's far enough from the crowds of Kala-Nera, yet close enough to reach the taverns and facilities. Management felt strict. Hot water wasn't available all day, the room cleaning schedule was unclear, and the owner reacted angrily when our three young kids occasionally left an extra wet sheet.

A peaceful place with rooms just 15 meters from the water, on a beautiful private beach. Each room has a view of both the beach and the Pelion mountains. They're spacious and cheap for their size, with a little kitchen and private shower and toilet. The garden has fruit trees, including cherries, apples, pears, and plums, plus lots of fresh vegetables. The village is lovely, with plenty of good restaurants and bars, and would be a nice place to spend a few summer weeks.
