People here are so welcoming, and Petradi hotel is a beautiful place with something special about it. It sits in Kalamachi, a traditional village on the slopes near Mount Pelion, in the green Magnesia region beside the unreal blue-turquoise sea. The area around the Pagasitikos golf is steeped in myth and history, including the land of Chiron centaurus, whose apprentice was Achilles and Hercules. The local beach is about five minutes from the hotel, in a small harbour, and is one of Greece's best for anyone who likes solitude. Pebbles line the shore, and the limestone floor beneath the open sea forms a natural pool where small fish and krils live. Petradi is a wonder of a hotel, with three traditional-style buildings, a restaurant, a nice pool, and a lovely terrace overlooking the picturesque harbour. Rooms are pleasant, and some are studio apartments with kitchens. They're decorated in a traditional style and have what you need for a comfortable stay. The property has good Wi-Fi throughout, quiet instrumental Greek traditional music by the pool and terrace, lights in the pool water, and good-quality furniture. Breakfast is traditional Greek, with freshly baked pastries and authentic Greek youghurt. The friendly people make you feel at home, like old friends have come to visit. A superlative experience, and a high-class hotel not to miss if you visit Greece.

There were plenty of stairs, and the village has no mini markets. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and the pool is open for only a few hours each day. Still, the view is amazing, the pool is big enough, and they followed corona rules. Breakfast was lovely, generous, and included homemade pies. The place was very clean.

Dogs were barking all around the cafe, and that’s what made my experience. You can see it in the photo.
