Stone Palace

After our flight was canceled at the last minute, this was just what we needed: a clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff, and a free shuttle. I’d recommend it if you need a hotel close to the airport.

The free shuttle was a big help, and it’s a great place near Athens airport. A very friendly and helpful lady welcomed us and, in just a few minutes, gave us more useful information than Google 😍. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a fridge and kettle. I really recommend it! 💝💝

Solo women traveling, please be careful here. The hotel itself is nice, but the owner or manager was rude and blamed me for a frightening situation caused by her staff. The shower handle broke while I was using it, which was my fault. I told the front desk I didn’t want anyone working on the shower during my stay because I had an early flight, was in a different time zone, and badly needed sleep. After two days of travel, I went to bed at 7 pm. At 9, someone came into my room to fix the shower. I woke up and told him not to come in and to come back tomorrow. I messaged the property about how scary that was. They said they were worried because I wasn’t answering my phone. I’d been asleep after 48 hours of travel. When the property manager came to my door, I tried to explain that I’d told the desk not to enter. She yelled at me and told me to be quiet so I wouldn’t wake the other guests, which was ironic. She claimed I’d given the desk permission, but I hadn’t, and she didn’t acknowledge that when I said so. I told her I was leaving that night because I was traveling alone and scared. There was no extra lock on the room. She kept insisting they were worried. I was asleep, I’d told the desk not to work on the shower during my stay, and I hadn’t answered their calls, so they didn’t have permission to come in. No seemed to mean yes to them. I asked for a refund and got a 13 euro credit. I understand the shower was damaged and I’m okay with that. I just want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was very clean, with a stylish interior. I liked the little touches in the room, like tea, water, and honey. It’s also close to lots of cafés and restaurants. A big plus was the free transfer to and from the airport at a time that suited us.
